Wish Bone by Dreena Collins

An easy five star review for this latest delightful collection by Dreena Collins. I adore Dreena’s work – her imagery is to die for, her characters leap out at you begging to be taken seriously, and her twisty endings always surprise.

Cover with a wish bone

The stories are very short but they pack a punch, with sentences such as ‘She dressed the table, as always, staged in a counterfeit domestic bliss’ telling us all we need to know about the state of this marriage.

Many of these tales have won awards, and it’s easy to see why.

I loved each one, but my favourite is Luna. Such a beautiful story and so delicately told. I was there with Luna, doing what I could, and revelling in the conclusion.

More please, Dreena.
