My office is a conservatory. It faces north which in the UK means it rarely gets direct sun so it’s brilliant in summer, especially British summers. In winter it can be chilly but since we had one wall and the ceiling lined, it’s not too hard to keep it warm.
What I love is that I always have daylight and a view onto the garden. And it’s amazing how I can ignore what needs to be done in the garden when I’m working!
I love it best when it rains. The sound of rain on the roof is very soothing – the lining has quashed that harsh hammering you normally get in conservatories to a gentle patter. It’s dark outside right now, and raining, and me and the dog are in our own safe cocoon.
