Here’s my review of Tales from the Mountains by Judy Ferrell

This collection of simple ‘yarns’ keeps you engrossed as the stories take you to the mountains, the farms, the townships to meet with their varied inhabitants and their adventures, big or small. Haunted houses, dead men helping out farmers, and moonshiners with more attitude than most are among those which capture your imagination and let it go where it might not want to in some cases.

There are old-fashioned values presented here, along with some downright wickedness and pure tragedy. All of it sparsely and captivatingly told. A great read for a relaxing afternoon by the fire, in the garden or at the beach. Well done!
