Stroud Short Stories celebrates 10 years this year – many congratulations!
This well-respected event is held in May and November each year, and features ten writers from Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire reading their entries to the competition. This year, like last year, the event on 9 May will be online and will be open to all comers.
I’m thrilled that my entry has – so far – made it to the short list. Those shortlisted find out on 1 April (yes, indeed) if their story is one of the chosen ten. If so, we will be recorded in Stroud for the May reading. Let’s hope that, should I make it through, the hairdresser’s appointment is before the recording! Note to self: categorise under First World Problems.
Update: my story made it through… so I will be off to Stroud, all the way across the bridge for the first time in … a long time!
Many thanks to Stroud Short Stories for choosing Four fright-struck hens and a wary pig and now to ensure that hairdressing appointment is confirmed!
