Neil Gaiman’s six rules of writing

Have been watching his writing masterclass and have loads of notes, but wanted to share this – he says it worked for him!

1. Write
2. Finish it – by this he means I suspect don’t wordsmith forever – get it to a point where it’s done but don’t take forever…
3. Send it out into the world to someone who could publish it. This, he says, is an act of bravery
4. Refrain from re-writing except on editorial advice
5. WHEN it comes back, send it out again despite your broken heart
6. While steps 3-5 are happening, start the next project…
