The Gift of Belonging is now out, and the kindle version available for sale. The paperback will be available as soon as the proof is approved!
Fans of The Wise Women books might remember Rose is the infant the river nymphs carry to Hester and her baby daughter Ellen towards the end of River Witch. And in The Herbalist’s Daughters, there is mention that Rose is working as a VAD (Voluntary Aid Detachment) nurse in a field hospital in France … From such beginnings, came The Gift of Belonging.

Taken from the arms of the river nymphs as an infant and raised by a woman with ancient healing gifts, Rose learned early she is different.
But when told the brutal truth of her birth, her brittle sense of belonging shatters.
Feedback so far has been brilliant:
This stream of messages from an early reader thrilled me –
“Cheryl, I’m loving The Gift of Belonging! I’m a slow reader, so I’m only on Chapter 10, but I didn’t want to stop reading last night. Your writing is SO BEAUTIFUL!!!
Cheryl, I’m on Chapter 17 and I has to say I’m in awe of how much effort you must have put into research to write this book. I’m thoroughly enjoying this!
Cheryl, I stayed up until 2 am and almost finished, but had to go to bed. Looking forward to seeing how it ends today!
Cheryl, Finished today! What a great story. Your writing is like a Masterclass. I’ll write a 5 star review!!!!”
And others have ‘complained’ about being late for meetings because they didn’t want to put it down. Check it out for yourself here.
