For the short story writers out there, I found this by Billy Cowan, senior lecturer in creative writing at Edge Hill University, to offer fascinating insights, and it’s inspiring too!
I know I write what I feel is my best (however good that is) when it all just flows out like a burst dam and can’t type quickly enough to get it all down, and when it comes from the heart, which often means there’s something personal in there.
